SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL SHELTER OR RESCUE GROUP

Every purchase you make on our website helps us continue with our mission, which is to adopt out as many of our foster cats as we can.  We work with Forever Friends Pet Rescue and Cass River Pet Friendz, who do the bulk of the work with rescuing, spaying and neutering, etc.  We, in turn, foster one rescued cat at a time, here at the store, until adopted.  Since beginning our Forever Home Rescue program in February 2008, we have adopted out over 250 cats, one life at a time.

Hi!

We adopted Karmin last night from Raining Cats & Dogs and just wanted to give you an update on her. :) My husband and I go to Zehnder's every year for our anniversary dinner and had gone on Sunday afternoon. We always stop in to Raining Cats & Dogs to see the foster kitty that they have. We've done this for many years now. For some reason, when we saw Karmin, we both had a feeling that she needed to be with our family. We had gone in twice to see her on Sunday and she had snuggled right under my neck and fallen asleep and was just so sweet! We came home and didn't talk much about her that night. On Monday morning, my husband sent me a text saying that he couldn't stop thinking about her. I told him the same thing. So, we decided to bring her home. We made the trip back to Frankenmuth last night and brought her home. She was comfortable immediately and is adjusting well so far! She is in my daughter's bedroom until we can introduce her to our other two kitties in a couple of days. She and Arthur (one of our other cats) have been pawing at each other under the door and I'm hoping for an easy transition. She has eaten several times already and has used her litter box, so I know she is comfortable. She has settled in for her afternoon nap and I thought I'd send a photo of how "miserable" she is here...hahaha! :) She's constantly purring and is a happy girl! Thank you for taking good care of her until we could give her a good home. :) We just love her!

Thank you! :
~Tracy

2yr. old Marlow was adopted April 25, 2010.   His family had a baby who was allergic to Marlow and he was given up to Cass River Pet Friendz.  His new adoptive family was nice enough to send us the following letter:

Hello Michelle, Kim, and the rest of your staff,

I just wanted to give you an update on Marlowe, whom we adopted from your shop yesterday.

He had no problem on the way home to Ann Arbor. He hung out in his cardboard box on my lap - very friendly and interested the whole way. When we got home, we set up his litterbox and food/water. He used his box, and started munching away on his food. He went from family member to family member, looking for rubs and comfortable laps to sleep in. He seems absolutely fine with anyone - not too picky!

Clearly, this guy feels quite at home.Thank you for allowing us to adopt him, he's fitting right in to the family!

 We'll keep you posted,
